Carer Information

Are you or is someone you know providing care for loved one?

You may not see yourself as one, but if you are supporting a relative or friend of any age who fits one or more of the descriptions below, then you are a carer.

They:

  • are elderly and frail
  • are physically disabled
  • have a learning disability
  • have mental health issues
  • have a history of substance misuse
  • have a serious health condition

Please let the practice team know if you are a Carer.

The Carer Champion at the practice is Nurse Carol Miller.

Nurse Miller is available at the practice on a Monday, Thursday and Friday, if you require help and advice - please contact the practice and the receptionist will assist you.

A self help group run by carers for carers - Meetings are held on the
1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month between 1.30 - 3.30pm at the John Godber Centre, Ogle Street, Hucknall, Nottingham.

Information Event for carers of people living with dementia - 26th of April 2017 between 3.30 - 5.30pm

The event is being hosted at the Radford Care Group and is a free programme, which consists of seven, two hour weekly sessions, covering a different aspect of dementia at each session.

The groups are facilitated by specialists in dementia group work and will consist of about 12 carers.
